While worship is the center of Christian life, we are also spiritually fed by being in fellowship with fellow Christians. Here at the Salisbury Presbyterian Church, we know how to be in fellowship and grow together as a church family which enhances how we know God as a community in worship on Sunday mornings and every other day of the week. Here are some of the things we do in fellowship:
Fellowship Breakfast–Every 2nd Sunday of the month beginning in September through May at 9:00 am in the F&E Hall. Cost: $5 per person and $15 per family. PLEASE sign-up in our Information Center or by e-mail to email@example.com by noon the Wednesday before.
Family Fun Night–Fun for the entire family throughout the year with games, food, and fellowship. Held in the F&E Hall. We usually have pizza, popcorn, and desserts and play BINGO with prizes!
Cookouts–Enjoy summer evenings with burgers and hot dogs on the grill followed by a campfire! Held behind the F&E Hall on Friday evenings. The kids love it!
Lemonade in the Garden– Following the 11:00 AM worship services during July and August, all are invited to a time of refreshment with lemonade and cookies in our memorial garden.
Annual Fellowship Events:
Chili Cook Off– Every Winter, our congregation is invited to make their favorite chili recipes and bring them to share, along with games for the entire family! All are invited, even if you don’t bring your own chili!
Church Picnic–Every June, we gather in the F&E Hall to eat all kinds of good food and then move outside for games for all ages. It is held on a Sunday and the congregation is invited to dress casual for worship.
Seafood Feast/Oyster Roast– In the Fall we hold this very popular event with an array of dishes from the sea. It is usually held at the Virginia Power Boat Association or at a member’s home. This year’s event will be held on October 31 between 3pm and 6pm.
