Egypt played an important role in the events of the Bible – just take a look at the life of Joseph!  From receiving a coat of many colors from his father Jacob, to prison and then to second in command of all Egypt, Joseph takes us on a journey of betrayal, darkness, faith, love, and forgiveness.  It’s an incredible journey and children at this year’s Vacation Bible School will discover God’s faithfulness to Joseph and his people as we explore our theme Egypt: Joseph’s Journey.

Vacation Bible School dates this year are July 31 – August 4, 9:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  WE NEED MANY HANDS to make the VBS experience unique from previous years and one-of-a-kind within the community.  Immediate needs include people to make simple costumes children will wear throughout the week of VBS.  We also need plain-colored fabric and colored yarn.  If you can donate these supplies, or if you can help with this early task, please contact Dan Wiard at the church.  Your help will have a tremendous impact in the lives of children at this year’s VBS Egypt: Joseph’s Journey.

As VBS gets closer, we will continue to post here what needs we have to make this experience the best possible for children.  VBS Donation List provides a complete list of donations we are looking for in the coming weeks.

Registration

Registration is now open for Vacation Bible School.  Vacation Bible School is for children Pre-K (must be 3 1/2 years-old by August 1) through and including 5th grade.  The cost is $10 per child due at the time of registration.  As part of the registration process, volunteers will also need to register.  We are asking that each family unit registering children help at least one day on site during Vacation Bible School.  This means that if you are a parent and are able, we ask that you signup indicating the day(s) you will be on site to assist during VBS.  If you are a parent and not able to help on site, we ask that you send someone in your place, such as a grandparent, nanny, etc.

Thank you for signing your child(ren) up for Vacation Bible School at Salisbury Presbyterian Church this year.  They will have a wonderful, memorable summer experience discovering God’s love through the story of Joseph’s Journey.  Thank you, too, for providing on-site leadership and being a model for children in Christ’s service.
