A time of waiting. A time of preparing, of getting ready. Often I lose sight of the main thing I’m waiting for. I get lost in preparing for gift-giving, for meals, and for special visits. But then I find myself drawn back to that special gift. A baby. A savior. Sometimes a song redirects my attention – "Mary did you Know. . . .?" Sometimes the light of a candle reminds me of the star that led the shepherds and leads us. Sometimes as I prepare for guests I stop in amazement that Jesus has come into my life, my home, my family. And I must prepare my heart. I must take time to think about receiving my Savior. I must wait and prepare.
