The Triennium youth conference takes place every 3 years, and is only open to teens in grades 8 through 12 – don’t miss your chance to attend!

Local teens (grades 8-12) are invited to represent Presbytery of the James at the Triennium youth conference July 15-21, 2019. The massive Presbyterian event for high school students is held at Purdue University in Indiana every three years.
Colleen Earp, POJ’s youth council director, asks interested families to contact her by so that she may arrange transportation and chaperones. The cost is $620 per youth (which can be broken into a payment plan). Once you have alerted Colleen that your student wants to attend, please complete your registration through Camp Hanover by February 14, 2019.

The Montreat tradition continues.  Salisbury youth are returning to Montreat July 21-27, 2019!  The conference is open to rising high school freshmen and graduating seniors.  This conference is a unique gathering of young people from all over the country for a week of study, worship, and recreation.  The conference takes place at the beautiful Montreat Conference Center in the mountains of North Carolina.  $100 deposit due to the church office by 3/1/19.

2019 Massanetta Middle School Conference

July 11-14, 2019 (Thursday – Sunday)





For those who have completed grades 6-8

We find ourselves “At the Door” in Matthew 7:7-12 – will you knock? Join us as we ask and seek out what it might mean to be in relationship with God. Our personal faith journeys are full of many doors: surprise doors, open doors, closed doors, big doors, small doors, even revolving doors. We will navigate these doors together, discover some of God’s good gifts, and live in loving community at ‘Netta.

Cost: Your cost is $250/per person which includes conference fees, meals, and lodging. The church underwrites an additional $125 per person, plus costs for transportation and chaperones. Scholarships are available, so please do not hesitate to contact us if you have a need.

*Middle schoolers may also wish to bring some cash for snacks or gift shop items while there.

Registration and $250 fee due by Sunday, March 31.
