CARITAS has a variety of kits that they will provide their clients with essential items. Each one
allows their volunteers to impact the men and women in their programs throughout their journey,
even from a distance.

Comfy Kit – The comfy kit equips the women entering The Healing Place with the clothing
they need to get started. 2 sports bras, a set of scrubs, underwear, socks and one pair of slides
sandals/flip flops for shower shoes.

Hygiene Kit – The hygiene kit provides men and women with essential items like travel sized
deep moisture body lotion, soap bar, face lotion, face wash, hair shampoo & conditioner, lip
balm, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush with case, oil hair moisturizer, a detangle hair comb
for all hair types, 6 regular tampons, 6 feminine panty liners individually wrapped and a
non-surgical mask.

Classroom Kit – The classroom kit provides the women at The Healing Place with the items
they need for their everyday classes, as they work towards recovery with their peers. A small
backpack, filled with a subject college ruled spiral notebook, 3 pens, and a mask in small,
medium and large.

Exit Kit – The exit kit provides the men and women exiting our program with the items they
need to transition into independent living. Think of what you needed when you moved into a
college dorm or your first apartment. A laundry basket filled with 1 set of full sheets with pillow
cases, 2 pillows, a blanket, a set of towels and washcloths (a minimum of 2 bath towels, 2 hand
towels & 2 washcloths), a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, a razor, shaving
cream, a comb, lotion and for women pads/tampons.

Welcome Home Kit – The welcome home kit provides those moving into independent housing
with essential cleaning items: a bucket filled with sponges, glass cleaner, paper towels, all
purpose cleaner, dustpan, broom, Lysol, etc. We also ask that you include a note of
