Thirty of our Chancel Choir singers, along with some family members and Dr. Jim King, journeyed across the Atlantic June 1-9 for a concert tour through the heart of England. We sang at Ely Cathedral just outside of Cambridge, Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-Upon-Avon, and Tewkesbury Abbey near the Cotswolds. Additional highlights were attending the evensong service at King’s College Chapel, Cambridge, and getting to meet and work with composer Sir John Rutter in a private rehearsal session at Ely.

Along the way we enjoyed sightseeing tours, many meals and laughs together, and sampled some traditional English dishes such as Sunday roast and sticky toffee pudding. We are grateful for the prayers and support of our SPC church family and feel blessed to have been able to represent SPC out in the world!
