Going Deep with Jesus: The Journey of Simon Peter (An 8-week Sermon/Lenten Study Series Concluding on Easter)

Maybe you have heard of Jesus but not met him.  Met him but not followed him.  Followed him but fallen away.  Fallen away, come back, and wondered what is next and then thought to yourself do I really want to go where Jesus is leading.  If you have, then your name might be Simon Peter, the fisherman who was called by Jesus to be a disciple.  Follower, failure, sinner, saint, coward, courageous . . . Peter is as human as they come.  He is also the rock on which God builds the church.  Join us for a journey with Peter.  He shows us how to go deeper with Jesus.  And Jesus, through Peter, shows us how he builds his church through us.

We meet in the Fellowship Hall, 6:00 PM dinner, 6:30 PM study.  Please contact the church office to signup for the study and dinner.  Suggested donation for each meal is $5/person, $15/family maximum.  Wednesday, March 16, is a covered-dish dinner.  Child care is available throughout the Lenten study for children younger than kindergarten.

Children in Art: A Lenten Study for Children (Grades K-5)

Using art, games, activities and visuals, children will explore the country of Haiti, hear stories of Haitians, and discover the work of our missionaries who work in Haiti.  While discovering Haiti, children will also learn about Jesus and Holy Week, culminating the 6-week study with paintings to raise money for mission.  Parents and congregants will be able to support our children’s effort when the children hold a silent auction displaying their painting March 16-27 in the Narthex.  Funds generated will support our mission efforst in Haiti through CODEP.  Preregistration through the church office is encouraged.

Involve your children in mission!
