Rehearses Wednesdays, 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.

The Chancel Choir is a group of approximately 65 volunteer singers who rehearse on Wednesday evenings from late August through June.

They sing each Sunday for the 11:00 service and provide music for Christmas, Easter and other special celebrations. Repertoire includes a wide range of choral literature from a cappella motets to authentic gospel anthems and many other styles in between.  This ensemble is open to all interested singers – no previous musical experience necessary. Be sure to mark your calendars for our first rehearsal for the fall of 2018. We will begin with a potluck dinner at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, August 29 in the fellowship hall followed by rehearsal in the sanctuary, starting around 7:15.  Lots of great music ahead!  Other important dates to keep in mind:

Sunday, September 9 will be the first Sunday back in the loft.
Saturday, November 3 will be the Chancel Choir retreat.
Saturday, November 10 sing for the Veteran’s Day program.
Sunday, December 16 Lessons and Carols at both services.
Tuesday, December 18  candlelight concert at Bruton Parish
