We support God’s work in Haiti, Demoratic Republic of Congo and Taiwan
Haiti Reforestation Partnership & CODEP
The Salisbury Presbyterian Church has an ongoing relationship with Haiti Reforestation Partnership and their work through CODEP in Haiti. We provide monetary support and send mission teams to Haiti near Léogâne, South of Port Au Prince. We work with CODEP, Comprehensive Development Project, which is a non-profit organization whose mission is to cooperate with and assist the people of rural Haiti by initiating, funding, administering, and sustaining development programs aimed at increasing self-sufficiency. Visit www.haitireforest.org to see the amazing partnership in Haiti. Please consider donating to this amazing mission project, a project that needs our support to continue to grow and impact our Haitian brothers and sisters.
Haiti Mission Co-Worker
SPC also supports the ways God is working through Cindy Corell, PC(USA) mission co-worker in Haiti. Cindy arrived at her post in Haiti as a facilitator for the Joining Hands Network in May of 2013 and she is hard at work to build relationships with Haitians who are working in sustainable agricultural development in order to strengthen their community and provide a way towards food sovereignty. Cindy, unlike any other PC(USA) mission co-worker, is supported fully by congregations within the Presbytery of the James. This is a new kind of relationship that our Presbytery has entered into and we are excited to see where God will continue to lead the Haitian people. If you are interested in reading about what Cindy is up to, check in on her blog: thelongwayhomeblog.org
