May 22, 2024 – Life winding down and gearing up! Aw, spring! This Sunday, our Memorial Day Sunday, we will have our Faith and Remembrance service, which begins with the Procession and Posting of Colors. The Rev. Leigh Anne Ring, Presbyter for Relational Care for the Presbytery of the James, will be our special guest preacher for the morning.

May 15, 2024 – Spiritual Disciplines, healthy habits focusing us on God. This week is Pentecost and Rev. Nate Taylor will preach from Ezekiel 37:1-14 for his sermon “Is This the Real Life?” Join us as our confirmands join our membership!

May 8, 2024 – It’s the God of the Bible! This week, Dr. Jim King will preach from 1 John 5:9-12 for his sermon “And This is the Testimony.”

April 24, 2024 – We’re learning to love God and others! This Sunday, Dr. Jim King will preach from 1 John 4:7-21 for his sermon “Love One Another.”

April 17, 2024 – The Apostle Paul was a great encourager to a youthful Timothy. This Sunday is Youth Sunday when we too can encourage our youth! Join us for this special worship opportunity!

March 20, 2024 – It’s good to get some perspective! This week is Palm Sunday! Dr. Jim King will preach from John 12:12-19 for his sermon “Spread the Word.”

March 13, 2024 – Jesus came for ALL people. This Sunday, Dr. Jim King will preach from John 12:20-36 for his sermon “International Relations.”

March 6, 2024 – One of the most well known passages of Scripture, John 3! This Sunday Dr. Jim King will preach from John 3:11-21 for his sermon “The Core.”

February 28, 2024 – Lion? Lamb? Both. This Sunday, Dr. Jim King will preach from John 2:13-22 for his sermon “Turning the Tables.” Be sure to join us Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. for Salisbury Presbyterian Hymn Festival!  

February 21, 2024 – Did I say that out loud? This week Dr. Jim King will preach from Mark 8:31-38 for his sermon “Getting Over Your Skis.”

February 14, 2024 – On this Valentine’s Day we remember God’s love! This Sunday, Dr. Jim King will share his sermon “Brilliant” from the Scriptures Mark 9:2-10.

February 7, 2024 – Forgiveness – yours, mine and ours! This Sunday, Dr. Jim King will end his sermon series on the Apostle’s Creed, with his sermon “Forgiveness of Sin, Life Everlasting.”  Scripture includes Luke 7:48-50, II Corinthians 4:16-5:9, Psalm 23:6, and John 14:1-3.

January 31, 2024 – Where is the Spirit leading? This Sunday, Dr. Jim King continues in his sermon series on the Apostle’s Creed with his Communion Meditation “I Believe in the Holy Ghost, the Communion of Saints” with scripture from John 15:26, 16:12-15, Psalm 51:10-12Galatians 3:26-29, and Hebrews 10:24-25.

January 24, 2024 – Who gets to judge? This Sunday, Rev. Dr. Jim King will preach the third in his sermon series on The Apostle’s Creed using Acts 1:9-11, Hebrews 1:3 and John 5:19-24 for the sermon “The Quick and the Dead.”

January 17, 2024 – Almost heaven, West Virginia! Well maybe, a little! This Sunday, Dr. Jim King will share his second sermon in his series about the Apostle’s Creed. Scriptures for this week are Luke 23:23-25, John 19:33-34, 38-42I Peter 3:18-22, and Luke 24:1-9 for the sermon “Descended Into Hell?”

January 10, 2024 – The Apostles Creed – what do the followers and those sent to spread the Word believe? This Sunday Rev. Crystal Varner Parker will preach from 1 Samuel 3:1-20 for her Sermon “Here I Am.”

January 3, 2024 – Let’s take a look at what we’re really saying in the Apostle’s Creed! This Sunday, Rev. Jim King will begin his sermon series on the Apostle’s Creed using the Scriptures Genesis 1:1-5, Isaiah 44:6-8 and Luke 1:26-35 for his Communion Meditation “I Believe in God.”

December 20, 2023 – Oh the comings and goings of Christmas – now and always! This Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Crystal Varner Parker will preach from  Luke 1:26-55 for her sermon “An Unlikely Story.”
